Milkshakes to Try

Float

An ice cream float with optional flavor customizations.

“Excellent little diner. Great food i usually stop there when ever I am in Mt Vernon. Good service. Typical diner food. I like their chipped beef on toast. Great hand spun milkshakes.”

Malt

This malted shake has optional chocolate, coffee, or strawberry flavor.

“Food always has the feeling it’s how grandma makes it with plenty on the plate. I’m a big fan of their beef and noodles over mashed potatoes, but they have a large menu to choose from, and it’s all good especially if you like “breakfast food.” I’ve never had bad service here and their milkshakes are fantastic.”

Shake

This shake offers optional banana, chocolate, coffee, or strawberry flavor.

“Its a 50s, 60s diner that offers family dining. We have been to Southside a few times now. We return for their food. They have daily specials, we like their spaghetti and meatballs, to buscuit and fried fish. Their breakfast menu has favorites like biscuit and sausage gravy or chipped beef gravy, scrambled eggs, pancakes and assortment of breakfast meats to choose from. They also offer 1 to 3 scoop ice cream milkshakes and other baked goods like pies and cookies. Try them asap if you are in Mt Vernon. 😁”
